We are looking to appoint up to three trustees who share our values and commitment and meet the criteria in the role description. We are open to applications from those with experience on charity boards and from people for whom this would be their first trustee role. We would also be interested in appointing Associate Trustees.
The Board of Trustees would be particularly interested in applicants who can provide insight and commitment in one or more of the following areas:
• A deep-rooted knowledge of community organisations and engagement.
• Knowledge of what it takes to nurture and build trust, particularly in communities which are often marginalised and excluded.
• Experience of development of volunteers
• Social media
• School education
We want a range of lived experiences and perspectives in the charity at every level and to increase the diversity of our leadership. The Board is also keen to reflect better the composition of the local community and would particularly welcome applications from groups who are currently under-represented among the Trustees, including young people; people with a disability; people of colour and ethnic minority heritage.
In return, you will join a collaborative and supportive Board (additional support will be given to first-time trustees) who are committed to helping the charity achieve its strategic goals.
