The Bridge Over Smithdown Vol II: The Music Edition is the second poetry anthology of local Liverpool poets curated by Smithdown Social Arts Hub. 

But for this edition, we added music to the mix! Poets selected for the poetry competition had an opportunity to improvise with jazz musicians, Mike Hughes, Frank Griffiths and Ben Parkinson, at reading events at Gallery 455 in May. The musicians made recordings of the improvisations and set off to select up to ten poems from these readings to be included in the poetry and music concept album. 

This event will launch the print book, audio book (all poets readings included) and the music album which will be played live on the night!
