Evening panel discussion followed by Q & A about the Charles Wotten

Doors open 6.30 event 7 – 9pm
It was a Black Education College which was founded 50 years ago in 1974. Although no longer open the panel will discuss the legacies and benefits of the centre and if such a centre is still needed. It taught Black History courses as well as maths, English etc. The centre was named after Charles Wotten, a 24-year-old black ship’s fireman who fell victim to race hatred in Liverpool in 1919.
