Panel Talk – L8 in Focus

Join us for this panel discussion. The panel will be made up of community and art activists. They will be discussing community activism with a particular focus on the L8 area. They will discuss why they are involved, what motivates them, why activism is so important and timely and they will also explore how and when they got started. The panel will be in conversation with Ray Quarless.
The panel:
Maria Oreilly: community activist for decades working across the city, and especially Liverpool 8 including Liverpool 8 Law Centre manager.
Pat Harvey: community activist for decades and worked across the city.
Linda Freeman: community activist for decades and worked mainly in Liverpool 8.
Brodie Arthur: artist activist who works with mainly with young people and uses her creative work to empower everyone.
All the above,  including the host, are community activists and have been involved in community work and fighting and campaigning for social justice and race equality in all walks of life.
Doors open: 6pm, event starts 7pm – 8.15pm approx. followed by a Q & A for 10 – 20 mins.
