‘Save it’ – Anniversary Exhibition at Central Library

As part of our 25th anniversary of reopening after restoration celebrations, coupled with 130 years since the original opening of Sefton Park Palm House, we are exhibiting the story of the restoration of the Palm House in the 1990s. The exhibition will be an opportunity to honour the efforts of the original campaigners, a reflection of the power of local people.

The exhibition will showcase the efforts of the community to organise, campaign and fundraise; these efforts have enabled the Palm House Preservation Trust to host free community events, life celebrations and general visitors for the benefit of the surrounding communities. The years included in this exhibition will be from 1991 – 2001; a decade which saw the biggest transformation of the Palm House.

We hope you will be able to visit the exhibition at the Central Library whilst it is on display.
