Abby Younis
Abby Younis is a Financial Crime Consultant with extensive expertise in governance, risk management, and control. Alongside her professional career, she is deeply committed to humanitarian causes, with a focus on women’s rights and public health.
She serves as a Trustee of Widows Rights International, a human rights NGO advocating for widows globally, with representation at the United Nations in New York and Geneva. She also contributes to a micro-finance initiative, providing small loans to women entrepreneurs worldwide to help them build sustainable livelihoods.
A cancer survivor, she founded the Women Conquering Cancer campaign, which is enabling Liverpool Women’s Hospital to provide a life-changing women’s health treatment on the NHS for the first time. This achievement was recognised in 2024 when she was awarded Merseyside Woman of the Year for Health and Wellness.
She recently launched the Future Leaders Club at the Kuumba Imaani Millennium Centre. This is a programme designed to instil confidence and ambition in teenagers and nurture the next generation of leaders.
As a Trustee of Sefton Park Palm House, Abby aligns closely with the Trust’s mission of “rooting for people, plants & place”. she supports its dual goals of preserving a cherished heritage site and botanical collection; while ensuring it continues to deliver strong and lasting social impact for local communities.
